Itinerary

  1. MON I CAIRO

    Arrive in the Land of the Pharaohs. Upon completion of immigration and customs formalities at Cairo International Airport, you will be met and escorted to your hotel.

  2. TUE I CAIRO

    Rise and shine with breakfast at your hotel, before heading out to visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities to see the world’s largest collection of Pharaonic artifacts and the treasures of Tutankhamen’s tomb. Then drive to Old Cairo to visit Al Moallaka Church (the Hanging Church) and Ben Ezra Synagogue. In the afternoon, visit the Great Pyramids of Giza and the enigmatic Sphinx. (B,L)

  3. WED I CAIRO I ASWAN I KOM OMBO I EDFU

    After breakfast, transfer from your hotel to Cairo International Airport for your morning flight to Aswan. Upon arrival you will be escorted to your Nile cruise ship. Today, you will visit the High Dam, the Granite Alexandria Quarries with the Unfinished Obelisk, and the Temple of Isis at Philae. Further along, sail on board a felucca, a traditional Egyptian sailboat and view Kitchener’s Island Botanical Garden and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. After lunch, sail to Kom Ombo, where you will visit the Ptolemaic Temple of Sobek and Haroeris before arriving in Edfu. (B,L,D)

  4. THU I EDFU I LUXOR

    Enjoy breakfast onboard your Nile cruise vessel, then travel by horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus, the falcon god. Dating from 237 B.C., it is considered the best-preserved temple in Egypt and the second largest after the Temple of Karnak. Sail to Esna, passing through the Esna Lock, and continue sailing towards Luxor. (B,L,D)

  5. FRI I LUXOR

    Have breakfast on your Nile River vessel. Today, you will visit the West Bank necropolis including the Valley of the Kings, the Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. Enjoy an optional sound and light show at Karnak Temple this evening. (B,L,D)

  6. SAT I LUXOR I CAIRO

    After breakfast, visit Karnak and Luxor temples, a centuries old city of pylons, hypostyle halls, colossal statues, shrines and obelisks. Disembark and transfer to the airport for your afternoon flight to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo you will be met and escorted to your hotel. This evening enjoy an optional sound and light show at the Pyramids of Giza. (B)

  7. SUN I CAIRO I ATHENS

    Start your day with breakfast, then transfer to Cairo International Airport for your departure flight to Athens. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore this fascinating city on your own. Overnight in Athens. (B)

  8. MON I ATHENS

    Have breakfast at your hotel before joining an exciting half day excursion. Your Athens tour takes you past the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Hadrian’s Arc, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and many other notable sites throughout the city. Next, explore the Acropolis where you will have the chance to pass through the Propylaea, and admire the Erechtheum, and the Caryatids. The tour then takes you to the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games took place in 1896. Afterwards, you will be transferred back to your hotel for the remainder of your day at leisure. Overnight in Athens. (B)

  9. TUE I ATHENS I HYDRA I POROS I AEGINA ISLANDS I ATHENS

    After breakfast, you will be transferred to Piraeus port to embark on your full day cruise to the islands nearby! Your first stop will be in Hydra, a small but beautiful island steeped in history located not far from the Greek mainland. Your second stop will be in Poros, an island of peace, romance, and relaxation. Your final stop before returning to Athens will be in Aegina, the land of the legendary Achilles. Upon completion of this cruise, you will be transferred back to your hotel. Overnight in Athens. (B,L)

  10. WED I ATHENS TO USA (OR EXTEND YOUR STAY)
